Drugstore makeup has come such a long way in the past few years. If you want good high-quality makeup, then you do not always need to break the bank with high-end makeup products. You can simply look to drugstore makeup! I love finding good makeup products in general but more when they are from the drugstore. That is why today, I will be sharing with you all 5 drugstore makeup products that I have fallen in love with and that I believe you all NEED to try!
This Wet n Wild foundation is a very hyped up drugstore foundation and I was very excited when I finally got my hands on it. The formula is quite lightweight and it gives light to medium coverage. The reason why I love it so much is that of how easily buildable it is and the luminous finish it gives to the skin. I have dry skin and it does not look cakey or cling to the dry patches at all. I, of course always make sure to properly moisturize and prime my skin before any foundation. Another thing I have noticed is that all my other makeup like concealer and bronzer just goes on so flawlessly on top of this foundation. Oh, and how cool is this spatula applicator that they have! It is so unique and convenient as it makes it super easy to control the amount of foundation I am putting on. The only thing that bothered me was their shade range but if you can find your shade then I highly recommend this whether you have oily or dry skin!
I was reluctant to try this at first because dry skin and matte formulas do not always go well together. Boy, was I wrong! This Maybelline Fit Me foundation works amazingly for both dry and oily skin types. It feels super light on the skin and is easily buildable. This has quickly become my everyday go-to foundation. It blends in super fast and makes my skin look flawless even on my bad skin days. You can get light to medium coverage with this. I have heard people say it gives high coverage but I do not agree with that. All in all- this an amazing foundation that you can trust will always look good on you!
This is not exactly a drugstore makeup product but because it’s price point falls under there, we will add it. After hearing Kathleen Lights talk about how good this is, I was sold. The reason why I prefer this over others is that it is super lightweight and does not have any pigment meaning it does not feel heavy/cakey on the skin or alter the colour of the foundation. I use this specifically in the t-zone and cheek area and it literally blurs my fine lines and pores to give me a super smooth and flawless finish. Plus, you literally get 3 oz of product for just $12. I mean, this product could literally last you a lifetime! This one is highly comparable to the very much loved Laura Mercier Translucent powder so if you are not quite into making that investment then definitely give this one a try! You can get this from their site, Amazon and for those living in the middle east can easily get it from Souq.com.
This has to be the best liquid lipstick formula I have ever tried (drugstore or high end). I had not heard much about these and was shocked at how good these liquid lipsticks by wet n wild are. First of all, they have a really uniquely shaped application which makes it very easy to apply and get into the edges of the lips. Secondly, it feels super lightweight and comfortable on the lips. It does not exaggerate the dryness or creases of the lips what so ever. I forget I even have anything on my lips. Super affordable and amazing quality. If there is one thing I recommend the most out of this list, it would be this!
I tend to get a bit of a texture on my nose and chin area and this primer works amazingly for that. It has a gel consistency that dries to a velvety finish. It instantly blurs out my pores giving a smooth an matte finish to my skin. I do not think this would work for people with really large pores but if you just have small pores and a bit of a texture then definitely try this out! It has the cutest packaging, super easy to travel with and is super affordable!
Those are my top 5 drugstore beauty products that I would highly recommend you guys to try out!
