So, recently I went on a bit of a makeup shopping spree. I was super excited to buy these products as I had had them on my ‘makeup to buy’ list for a while. If you guys are interested in seeing what my recent beauty purchases from Sephora are, then keep on reading!
I was on a lookout for a primer that would help me with the texture on my skin when I came across this Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Primer by Fenty Beauty. This was definitely a bit pricey but after reading the reviews on this which were 99% positive and considering how much product I am getting, I decided to purchase it. I absolutely love the frosty glass packaging of this. It has a nice vanilla scent which I actually really like as well. The first time I wore this, my mom actually commented on how nice and smooth my skin looked which is exactly what I was looking for in a primer. My skin does still get oily throughout the day though so I cannot say that it does a very good job at controlling that. I have not used it enough to be able to tell how well it makes my makeup last so i am definitely going to be properly testing this out in the coming weeks.
This is a really hyped up foundation and so i was super excited to finally get this. It is a medium to full coverage oil-free luminous foundation. As per the name, this foundation is supposed to give such a flawless finish to your skin that it will look like you were ‘Born This Way’. It contains coconut water and hyaluronic acid which are two ingredients that are very good for the skin. I have only tried this once but I have to say I loved it. It does not look cakey whatsoever and is super easy to build up. It did not exaggerate the texture or dryness on my face like many other full coverage foundations tend to do. I got the shade ‘sand’ for any of you who have a similar skin tone to me.
I was very intrigued by Urban Decay’s Heavy Metal Glitter line. I find these such a good alternative to using actual glitter on the eyes. The reason being that you do not have to deal with the hassle of glitter fallout. I recently wore this to an event and absolutely loved the way it looked. It just made my makeup look so much more glam. All l I had to do was swipe this over my lids. This is super easy to use and once dried, it does not budge! You can of course also use this to create a nice, glittery winged liner. I got the shade ‘Midnight Cowboy’ which is a beautiful golden shade. All in all, I am so impressed by this. I highly recommend you guys to try it out especially for those who are a bit iffy about using actual glitter!
Another Urban Decay product and this one had literally been on my list for ages. After using the Maybelline Fit Me concealer for the longest time, I wanted a more full coverage concealer that would not crease or look cakey under the eyes. After hearing Jaclyn Hill and many other beauty gurus rave about this Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer, I knew I had to get it! I have tried it a few times and I am loving it so far. It definitely does a good job of covering my dark circles. I do feel like I would need to build it up for a higher coverage. What I love the most about it is that it is just as the name suggests- super lightweight. It does not look or feel heavy and is so easy to blend.
Kat Von D Studded Kiss Crème Lipstick- ‘Hawkwind’
After loving Kat Von D’s liquid lipstick ‘Lolita’ so much, I really wanted to try out her lipstick line as well. I went for this beautiful plum shade ‘Hawkwind’. It is definitely a bit of a darker shade than I’m used to wearing but I’m glad I got it as I always stick to the same types of shades. I haven’t properly tried this out so i cannot say how I feel about it but can we just appreciate this packaging! I think this is the only lipstick I own that has such cool packaging! All in all, I am super excited about this and will be letting you guys know if it is worth it or not!
And those are all of my recent beauty purchases from Sephora. I should definitely be taking a little break from makeup shopping after buying all this. Although, knowing me, that is probably not going to happen, haha!
Have you guys tried any of these products? If so, what are your thoughts on them?
THANK YOU FOR READING! xx
