There are tons of amazing blogging tools available these days to make our life easier. Whether it has to do with making your posts SEO-friendly or helping you save time as a blogger, the options are endless. It can; however, become overwhelming, when you don’t know which tools would be best suited for your needs. I will be sharing with you all the top 6 blogging tools that have helped me tremendously in becoming a better blogger and that I believe are crucial for every blogger!
As a blogger, making sure that your site is as search engine friendly as possible is crucial. This will allow you to rank higher on Google which in turn will bring tons of traffic to your blog. YOAST is the perfect SEO blogging tool to help you achieve just that! Once you have chosen your focus keyword and are done writing the blog post, you simply go to this plugin. It will help you improve your post’s readability and to rank for the specific keyword that you have chosen. I love that even people who have 0 knowledge about SEO can easily learn to use it. Yoast even provides easy to understand video tutorials and articles. These have helped me so much in learning more about SEO. Not only have I noticed an increase in my blog traffic but my DA has also gone up since I started using this.
Google Analytics is a great way to get an in-depth insight into the traffic on your site. I mainly use it to check my unique monthly visitors/pageviews. There is; however, tons of information available on there that can help you learn more about your visitors, which country gets you the highest traffic, which social media gets you the highest traffic, demographics and so much more. I highly recommend this especially if you want to create a media kit as brands want to be able to know these insights before working with you. It also a great way to check if you are reaching the blog targets that you have set.
Buzzsumo helps you find the latest blog posts that have been highly shared on social medias. You simply type in a keyword or a blog post title and it generates a list of similar blog posts. This is a great way to see what type of content people love and check out your competition, in order to create a better blog post. This is also good for finding bloggers in your niche or for gaining some inspiration for blog post ideas if you feel stuck which is something quite common for us bloggers! I use the free version and it allows me to see up to 10 results which are good enough for me but you could, of course, go for the paid version if you like.
This is one of those blogging tools that I would always see people recommend but never really thought I needed until I actually got! Instead of proofreading your blog post 5 times making sure there are no spelling, grammar or punctuation mistakes, this tool highlights any mistakes you have made as you write and helps you correct it. You could also copy paste the entire blog post on to the Grammarly editor and it will show you all the mistakes you have made, why it is a mistake and how you can fix it. I save so much time now that I have started using it. There are so many more features to it but I only use it for the basic stuff. Go ahead and download it now because I promise you, it will save you so much time!
One of the biggest misconception when it comes to Pinterest is that it is social media. Pinterest is actually a search engine like Google. That is why it is such a powerful tool for bloggers. This is one of the apps I mentioned in my ‘5 Apps Every Blogger Needs‘ blogpost. Unlike Instagram and Twitter where people will see your post once and minutes later, it gets forgotten between the millions of other posts, Pinterest makes sure that your post is always being seen by people searching for it. I have only started using it and I am already gaining traffic on my blog through it. If you are new to Pinterest, you can check out ELLDUCLOS e-course. She discusses everything from the basics of Pinterest to how to create the perfect pin and some great traffic strategies. I also love using Pinterest when I am feeling uninspired or need blogging/ photography tips. There are honestly so many ways you can benefit from Pinterest as a blogger and it is definitely a must-have! Here is my Pinterest if you would like to follow me!
Canva is an amazing tool to help you design better visuals and graphics for your blog in a faster and inexpensive way. When it comes to creating high quality, visually appealing pins for Pinterest, Canva is the best option. You can also use it to create media kits. It comes ready with tons of cool templates saving you so much time and stress. I personally always take my own blog photos but if you do not have the time or do not want to take your own blog photos, you can easily create them on canva. There are all kinds of videos and articles that will provide you with a step by step guide on how to do that. Of course, there is so much more you can do on it but this just the basics.
It is crazy the number of tasks we need to undertake as bloggers. Having blogging tools such as these can really help you save so much time, hassle and stress.
